Our Mission

M.I.N.O.R is dedicated to mentoring and building long-lasting relationships with the young men and boys we serve. Our mission is to create a safe, empowering environment that inspires young men to develop their strengths, life skills, and leadership potential, guiding them to take charge of their futures. Serving youth from 7th grade through early college, we follow an interactive curriculum led by retired and active Police Officers, along with other dedicated professionals. Partnering with schools and youth programs in LMI, under-served communities, we strive to foster resilience, responsibility, and growth, preparing young men to become positive role models and leaders.

Our Unique Approach to Mentorship

Teacher Assisting a Student

Guiding Principles

  • M.I.N.O.R is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) male mentorship program that will partner with local Charter Schools and I.S.D's including youth organizations and community-based programs in under-served communities.

  • M.I.N.O.R mentorship program is designed to retain the young men/boys in the program by offering different levels of mentorship. As the person grows and matures, the curriculum becomes more advanced to fit that level of advancement or maturity. Our Mentors are comprised of retired and active male Police Officers who will facilitate/lead PowerPoint presentations and videos following an interactive curriculum with open dialogue and discussions that would assist in strengthening life-building skills.

  • M.I.N.O.R takes a research-based approach to equip young men/boys with the necessary tools to navigate through different economic and social challenges, putting them in a position to grow up educated, healthy, focused, and independent.

  • Focus:

Our focus is to address the issues of          poverty, access to quality education          and healthcare, mental health                    stigma, lack of job opportunities,              and limited social support networks.
